Can We Help You Close More Sales This Summer?

Need help demonstrating to customers how radiant barriers work and why they’re a critical (yet inexpensive) component to an effective attic insulation system?

We thought so. That’s why our team designed a limited number of Silver Shield™ heated display units for you to use when meeting with prospective customers who may not fully understand the concept behind radiant barriers.

As the saying goes, “seeing is believing” — these units are a great way for customers to plainly see the temperature differences caused by radiant heat in a simulated attic space with and without Silver Shield™ radiant barrier.

All you have to do is turn it on, step back, and let the results do the talking for you!

Contact our sales team TODAY to learn how to get your Silver Shield™ Summer Survival kit. Supplies are limited. Call 888-998-1973 or visit www.fifoil.com to get started.

Customer Service Extraordinaire: Carolyn Buchanan is “The Voice” of Fi-Foil

If you’ve ever called us here in the Fi-Foil office, chances are you’ve spoken with Carolyn Buchanan. Carolyn first joined the Fi-Foil team back in February 1991.

A lot has changed around our office since then: multi-line phones, faxes, and photocopiers have been replaced by cell phones, notebook PCs, and Wi-Fi. One thing that hasn’t changed a bit? Carolyn’s commitment to our business and to each and every customer throughout her 20+ year career with Fi-Foil.

Originally from Rocky Mount, VA, Carolyn is the proud mother of a daughter, two grandchildren, and a beautiful “baby boy” she named “Buster”…by no means a normal canine!

“Carolyn sets the standard for customer service around here,” says Bill Lippy, Fi-Foil’s president. “If a customer needs information about an order or has any other issue that needs to be resolved, there’s no one better than Carolyn.

Thank You, Carolyn!

Making New “Friends” in New York City

Who manages all those “LIKES”?…Interesting behind the scenes visit if you’re in New York City. Bill Lippy (Fi-Foil President) and Michael Hayes (VP of Sales) writing on “the Wall” during a recent visit to the Facebook office in NYC.

Architect’s Corner

Thank you to the wonderful architectural and design staff at The Beck Group (Tampa), PRDG (Dallas) and BOKA Powell (Dallas), for hosting very successful and informative insulation training events earlier this month!

We loved meeting with you all and look forward to partnering with you again in the future.

Victory! VR Plus Shield Spec’d in Dallas Tower Plans

We were thrilled to learn that Fi-Foil’s VR Plus Shield multi-layer insulation was recently specified for use on the interior face of the exterior, cast concrete walls of Katy Station, a planned 30-story, 400+ unit apartment complex in Dallas’ Victory Park development. The tallest of three towers currently being planned for Victory Park, construction on Katy Station is expected to begin later this year.

Houston-based architect EDI International, the designer of the project, specified the use of VR Plus Shield on 1-5/8” metal stud furring to deliver R-Values up to R-7.1 on the building’s masonry walls using a unique characteristic of the VR Plus Shield material that expand when installed, creating (3) separate, reflective, insulating air spaces.

Lunch & Learn Update

The Fi-Foil training team is bringing its AIA Continuing Education System (CES) Provider Training, “Advanced Technologies in Insulation,” to architectural firms in Charlotte, NC and Fort Lauderdale, FL in July, and Las Vegas in August.

For more information about attending one of these free training sessions or to schedule a future AIA Lunch & Learn training event at your company, please contact Jan Buehler, CSI, CDT, National Architectural Program Director, by phone: 863-661-9718 or by email: jbuehler@fifoil.com.

They’re Coming! The important Upcoming Changes to Florida Building Code

The much-anticipated changes introduced in the new Florida Building Energy Codes go into effect on June 30, 2015. The new codes, modeled after those found in the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code® (IECC) revisions, outline important specifications for how new residential and commercial structures are built, insulated, and more.

Luckily, many Floridian builders and renovators who have already been using Fi-Foil products are already easily meeting (and exceeding) many of these new codes for their masonry, metal, and wood framed building projects.

Questions or concerns about the new codes and how they could affect your business? Contact one of our sales specialists today and we’ll talk you through it.

The RetroShield® System – Seeing is Believing

Developed primarily for the metal building industry, the RetroShield® System is the ideal solution for retrofitting and upgrading insulation systems in new and existing metal buildings.

RetroShield® offers maximum energy efficiency for any roof or wall retrofit application. The reflective insulation technology provides high reflectivity and low emissivity for superior thermal performance.

“This was our first install of the RetroShield® System and it will now be our system of choice for existing metal buildings. The installation was very straight forward and our customer was thrilled with the results.” Matt Belman, Division Manager, Cary Quality Insulation & Building Products,Fredericksburg, VA

Want to Achieve a Higher System R-Value at Lower Cost?

The HY-Fi insulation system combines low emittance surfaces and enclosed air spaces and when used in combination with traditional insulation, such as fiberglass batts or spray foam, it creates a superior insulating system at an unmatched prince point. Long story short, it provides insulators and builders with a versatile, low cost, and easy to install hybrid system that achieves R-21 in small wall spaces.

Contractors adding Fi-Foil products to the mix are immediately lowering and improving their buildings’ Home Energy Rating System (HERS®®) Index scores.
